Rose Ghavami

Rose was first introduced to yoga by way of her father who quite literally stumbled into his first class many moons ago. It was through the changes in her father that her interest grew. Under the guidance of a radiant yoga instructor in her local gym, her personal journey began. Having studied Performance Art at the University of California, Irvine, Rose has always held an appreciation for movement and the use of the body for expression. When she began practicing yoga, she found a medium that not only supported her means for expression but it also touched her soul in a way she had never experienced before. It was this same teacher that planted the seed for Rose to entertain the idea of becoming a teacher. Having always fancied the idea herself, she decided to plunge headfirst into the world of yoga. It was through Yoga Works that her dream came true and she became certified completing a 500 hour Professional Program where she trained under well renown yogis such as Jeanne Heileman, Annie Carpenter, Lisa Walford, Carmen Fitzgibbon, Malachai Melville, and Birgitte Kristen.

Inspired by her brilliant mentor, Jeanne Heileman who comes from a Tantra Hatha Yoga perspective, Rose gained the knowledge and support she needed to begin teaching. She has taught in various studios and settings and privately since. In addition to being a member of the Golden Bridge family, she is currently teaching at Yoga Works in Westlake Village and also Heal and Soul in Encino. Her classes harness the fundamentals of yoga with a strong practice to support it. She likes to include several different elements into her classes to give her students a well rounded yogic experience. Some of these include but are not limited to, the expansive qualities of Pranayam, the quieting subtleties of Meditation, the emphasis of alignment ala Iyengar, the movement and momentum of Vinyasa Flow, a knowledge of Ayurveda, and the subtle body elements of Tantra. She hopes to provide the education and attention her students need in order to take their own personal journeys to the next level.

Saska Neil - Yangchen Lhamo

After encountering the effects yoga and meditation had on our daughter’s developmental, physical and emotional well being, together with helping my family be balanced and happy, I became the most passionate about teaching this wonderful science to many other children and women. In the following years I studied to be certified as an International Kundalini Yoga teacher, Prenatal and Postnatal teacher, teacher of Yoga for Children and most recently finished a certification program of Yoga for the Children with Special Needs.

For the past 8 years I have been teaching Prenatal Kundalini yoga and am graced with an opportunity to teach yoga to our children in Charter Schools.

By incorporating the wisdom and inspiration of two homebirths and the practice of peaceful, respectful and empowering way of parenting, an environment is created where pregnant woman gather safely in an ancient circle of belonging. The classes are playfully graceful, and spiritual experiences of sharing the dance of life and birthing our higher selves, along side our children, into being.

My work is also with children with special needs. Teaching our children with special needs yoga and meditation and exposing them to the communities with “typical” children we are a step closer to removing the veil of an illusion of difference between us all.

My background is in Acting, Dance, Healing, Aromatherapy, Buddhism, Photography and Philosophy.

Sat Daya

Sat Daya has been a yogi for six years and a teacher for four. His classes focus on harnessing the warrior energy and strengthening the nervous and glandular systems.

When he is not trekking in the Andes or the Himalayas, Sat Daya is blessed to live in Los Angeles with his wife, Marne Moore (Akal).

Sat Puran Kaur

Sat Puran Kaur has been part of Golden Bridge for over 6 years. She is currently the store buyer when she is not pursuing her full time career as a photographer. She enjoys teaching the Sunshine Yoga class and feels that the early morning class is a great way to start your day, to wake up and energize the body, clear out the mind and set a great intention for one's day with an open heart and strong body in a healthy way.

Sat Siri (Rachel) Dougherty

Sat Siri, an ex-Ballerina with the Australian Ballet has been practising Yoga and Meditation for fifteen years. She was blessed to complete her Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training under the guidance of Yogi Bhajan six years ago in New Mexico. It profoundly opened her heart.

Soon after, she opened the first Kundalini Yoga Studio in Sydney Australia in 2003, and has been teaching in Australia, and internationally ever since.
She travels to India every year, returning to the home of Yoga and to her other home at Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh, finding a deeper ‘home’ inside of her own self, year after year.

Sat Siri’s classes are uplifting, challenging, and healing at a very deep level.
She believes it is everyone’s birthright to experience the peace, grace and blessings you discover within you with daily Yoga and Meditation.

Sussy Castilla

Sussy Castilla happened upon Kundalini Yoga by surprise at a summer festival and after doing a few simple movements in a set something shifted inside that changed her course in life. She knew this technology was different from any other form of yoga she had practiced before and so immersed herself in the teachings. She was trained at Golden Bridge Yoga Studio and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Born in Nicaragua and raised in Costa Rica she moved to the U.S. with her family in her early teens and considers herself just as much American as Latina. She loves teaching this sacred technology to other Spanish speakers and people who wouldn't normally have access to yoga, as well as anyone wanting to better their lives. Sussy brings strength, practicality, love and enthusiasm to every class she teaches. She loves sharing what she knows and allowing her students to experience their own transformation and healing.

Tanja Hester

Tanka's journey into yoga began in the 80s when she happened upon Priscilla Patrick's yoga program on PBS. Years later, she came to rely on her practice for balance and sanity while working in the chaotic political world of Washington, DC, where she began teaching in 2003. An insatiable student, Tanja is a self-described "yoga mutt," combining elements from Ashtanga, Anusara, and Integral yoga into her flow-based classes. Shea's studied with the yoga masters of our time David and Doug Swenson, John Friend, Shiva Rea, Rod Stryker, Rodney Yee, Ana Forrest, and Judith Lasater, to name a few and has been influenced by many less famous but equally inspiring teachers. Her favorite teaching moments are when new students discover yoga's profound, life-changing powers and more advanced students awaken to their own connection to the divine. An avid outdoorswoman, Tanja spends her free time doing things like rock climbing and mountaineering that sometimes keep her loved ones from sleeping soundly at night.
